Transferring your FormSwift fax number to Dropbox Fax

Important Notice: To keep your current fax number, you must complete the migration process by March 1, 2026. After this date, all unmigrated fax numbers will be released.

If you're a FormSwift fax user, you can transition your fax service to Dropbox Fax to continue using your current fax number. This guide walks you through creating your new account and transferring your existing fax number.

Creating your Dropbox Fax account

  1. Use this link https://app.hellofax.com/info/pricing?coupon_code=FORMSWIFT to access special promotional subscription prices exclusive to FormSwift fax users.
    • If you have an existing Dropbox Fax account, reach out to Dropbox Fax customer service in order to apply this special promotional subscription price to your existing account.
  2. Choose the Professional or Small Business plan if you wish to port-in your FormSwift fax number.
    • If you don't mind losing your existing number and getting a new one assigned, you can save and signup for the Home Office plan (or the Free plan for limited faxing needs). Number porting is unavailable on the Home Office and Free plans.

  3. Create your account
    • Enter your FormSwift account email if you wish to port your FormSwift fax number.
  4. Continue to checkout, you will choose a default fax number on the Payment page.
    • After you checkout you will have the option to port-in your FormSwift fax number. At that point you can remove the default fax number attached to your account.

  5. You will receive an email asking to verify your email address. After verifying you will then be prompted to create a password for your account.

Porting your FormSwift fax number

  1. Go to https://app.hellofax.com/home/team and click the "Port numbers" button on the right.

  2. Enter your FormSwift fax number
    • The $60 one-time porting fee will be waived for FormSwift customers.
    • If you wish to avoid the $4.99/month fee per line, you must only maintain one active fax number for your account. You can remove any unwanted fax numbers after porting on https://app.hellofax.com/home/team.

  3. You will receive a Porting instructions email

  4. Skip step 1 in the email ("Forward the most recent invoice..."), as FormSwift has already provided proof of ownership to Dropbox Fax.
  5. For step 2 in the email, fill out the Letter of Authorization form
    • For Current Service Provider fill in FormSwift (SignalWire)
    • Leave Current Account number blank
    • Leave PIN CODE blank
  6. The Dropbox Fax team will reach out shortly with further instructions after receiving the Letter of Authorization form.
